New Purple Dress is the latest album from the scott mcmicken and the ever-expanding scene. A highly collaborative improvisational kind of approach designed to offer a way to find new levels of trust and openness in the process. Much like the gel print by betsy kendrick on the cover, the music is allowed to be captured before the 'paint' is dry. Capturing spontaneous moments and surrendering control, each musician involved brings their own unique voice to the scene and the end result is really beautiful.
